National Scrapbook Day

Yikes. I knew this would happen. We return to school from Christmas break, and I get busy with the musical. We did The Wizard of Oz this year. So much fun! I even got a promotion to assistant director! It meant, like always, lots of work and little free time. Say bye, bye to the blog!

Well, the musical is over. It's so strange to have so much free time on my hands. I've enjoyed coming home during daylight hours! I've got time now to grade papers, do lesson plans, and even relax! Yesterday was National Scrapbook Day. This is one of my favorite days of the year. I tend to spend it at Two Peas participating in their chats and doing their challenges. This year though, I couldn't get my creative juices flowing. I decided to start a sketch challenge from a new blog called Scrap & Play. They have a design team call out right now too. It's May through August. Oh my goodness...a DT during the summer months when I'm free?! Yes! I think I'll try it out. Who knows what could happen!

Anyway, their first challenge, like a said, was a sketch. I love doing sketch challenges. When I'm struggling creatively, they tend to get me back on track. I finally scrapped a pair of photos from last summer when Elizabeth got her first library card.  She was so excited about it!

I used the Snapshots collection kit from Bella Blvd primarily. I also got out my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to spray the butterflies from Studio Calico. It's been forever since I've used my mists. I love how they look!
